Attractions

Visitors to Liberal will find two main attractions, Dorothy's House and the Land of Oz and Mid-America Air Museum, as well as a historical museum and arts center.

Dorothy's House is a 1907 farmhouse furnished with 1930s antiques featuring an exact replica of Dorothy's bedroom and The Land of Oz is 5,000 square feet of animated entertainment and Oz memorabilia in an environment right out of the movie.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3.50 for students (6-18) and seniors (60+), 5 and under free.
Both Dorothy's House and the Land of Oz are located on the grounds of the Coronado Museum, 567 Cedar Street.
Coronado Museum houses exhibits detailing the county's history including a bridle bit authenticated to Coronado's time and exploration of this part of Kansas.
There is no admission charge to tour the museum.
Both attractions and the museum are open:
Winter hours (Labor Day to Memorial Day) are 9a-5p Tuesday through Saturday and 1-5p Sunday
Summer Hours (Memorial Day to Labor Day) are 9a-6p Monday through Saturday and 1-6p Sunday.

Mid-America Air Museum is the largest aviation museum in Kansas and one of the largest in the nation. It is home to more than 100 aircraft and serves as an interactive educational resource for all visitors.
Admission is $7 for adults, students (6-18) and seniors (62+) $5.
Hours are 8a-5p Monday through Friday, 10a-5p Saturday and 1-5p Sunday.

The Baker Arts Center is a gathering place at which people can enjoy and celebrate the arts. The center provides much needed exhibit space for artists who work in conventional techniques like oil, acrylic and watercolor painting, sculpture and photography. Exhibits have also featured textile art, quilt displays, handmade jewelry, woodworking, glassworks, collage and more. The upper level has both a Discovery Center for children, with hands-on activities, and an educational studio for adult and children's art classes and workshops.
There is no admission charge to tour the arts center.
